The Holidays are a special time at the 1848 Island Manor House and Chincoteague Island, making us the ideal holiday getaway destination! By Thanksgiving, the inn is all dressed up for the many upcoming Holiday Island Festivities that carry through to New Year's Eve. The twinkling icicle lights are hung from the roof, evergreen garland sways from the railings and door frames, and lit wreaths adorn the doors and chimney. Imagine yourself on a magical Christmas vacation in Virginia!

Inside you will find festive decorations throughout the common rooms. The traditional evergreen garland with pine cones are draped from the parlor staircase. The majestic Christmas tree and evergreens adorn the Garden Room. Of course, poinsettias and holly may be found throughout the inn. Here is a glimpse of what you will find at the 1848 Island Manor House this Holiday season...

Activities kick-off the week of Thanksgiving and continue into the New Year.
